Board of Licensed Vocational Nurse!!
Okay, it has been a long road for me with my career, and getting it started. I had some minor (to me they are MAJOR) setbacks. I was in nursing school and was in my last semester, taking my last final. I missed passing it by a couple of points, which therefore, made me fail the program. I tried for a at least 4 months going to other schools to try to finish my last semester and to no avail was unsuccessful. I went into a deep and dark depression, lashing out at everyone, buzzing my hair off and dying it orange! The warden at my house was only able to feed me bread and water, and I soon became a frail old thing!......Year and 1/2 later, I was at my wits end, and saved my last option, well, for last. Because I got so far into the nursing program, it qualified me to challenge the LVN boards. For all of you wondering what that is, it means Licensed Vocational Nurse. They can do pretty much everything an RN (registered nurse) does, except take care of really critical patients and give medication through the IV. So I decided to gather all my paperwork together, along with $200.00 and send it to the California Board of Licensed Vocational Nurse and Psychiatric Technicians. (With this "LVN license", I can also work with the "looneys" in the psych wards!!) After about a couple of weeks of waiting, I opened my mail, and they had accepted my paperwork to take the LVN boards. (this is called "challenging the boards") So I had a "happy" finally in my life. I read all the paperwork and made the next big step and scheduled my test. It was Feb. 17th that I scheduled my test for...March 21st. I gave myself a good month to study. Those long 4 weeks gave me high blood pressure, craters on my face (luckily zack morris and screech gave me some cream, that later turned my face ''auburn", hahaha) and half my hair was growing back black! The day of the test, I was so nervous, and I usually dont get nervous unless Im going to be in trouble with Chuck. The test had the minimum of 85 questions and maximum of 203. Going into the test center, I was greeted by the SS Nazi procters and made me almost strip down to the bare bone, so that they were sure I wouldn't cheat...believe me, I did not want that!!.....After 3 and 1/2 hours of testing, the computer shut off at 132 questions!! Needless to say, I had 4inch ulcers on my buttocks from sitting so long. I came out of that test knowing I had failed! So again, I drove up to the high desert in my deep depression again, singing "black velvet in my little boys smile....".......Four long weeks went by and we are here today, and I decided to open the mail on a beautiful saturday morning and this is what I received.....
